With Radiotracker 5 Platinum users can supply themselves with music that fits their current mood or the prevailing atmosphere using their own wish lists or lists downloaded from the new "Audials Community". Various favourite lists of web radios can also be compiled and managed based on mood or other criteria. In order to compile its own radio programme, Radiotracker now records additional so called social web radios such as Last.fm, Pandora, Soundclick, Yahoo Launchcast and other stations.

Alongside the new innovations, user comfort has been improved in many respects and in many places. The management of podcasts has been more tightly integrated and developed further. The CD burning function has been improved. Along with the Radiotracker Player, it is now also possible to use Winamp, Apple iTunes and Windows Media Player as alternatives for playing music. The automatic completion of pieces of music with ID3 tags, cover pictures and lyrics, as well as their display, is now more comfortable than was the case in previous versions. An improvement on previous versions is the selection of artists according to recognition and frequency in the database. The portfolio of suggested similar musicians to an artist and music style searched for by a user is now more comprehensive and has been considerably improved in terms of the target precision.

Only the Platinum Edition of Radiotracker uses a global network to simultaneously monitor 2,000 web radios and then find and record only exactly the desired music. With an average search time of 25 seconds Radiotracker isn't just quicker at locating music, but also finds considerably more of the desired music, which is then perfectly and automatically cut and made available to the user together with cover pictures, lyrics and ID3 tags. New AAC audio format for Apple & Co.
The number of web radios in Radiotracker has now increased with version 5 to over 20,000. The origin of the web radios is now indicated with a national flag. New for version 5 are AAC audio format web radios. Music with the AAC file format has a higher quality and smaller file sizes than the MP3 standard and can be played on the current generation of mobile devices, such as Apple iPod, Apple iPhone and the Walkman mobile telephones from Sony Ericsson.

Evolution in the quality of music recording
The quality of recorded music is now evaluated by Radiotracker. Radiotracker cuts, normalises and automatically inserts fading. Music tracks with excellent quality and fully removed voice-overs are labelled with a green tick mark. A dedicated studio is available for rarely required post processing of music tracks. With version 5, the hit rate of the MusicFinder and the recording quality has improved once again.
